Rubin “Hurricane” Carter is the author of THE SIXTEENTH ROUND, which he wrote in 1974 while in prison. Rubin also wrote the screenplay for HURRICANE, the Norman Jewison movie.  Rubin lives in Toronto, traveling between North America and Europe, speaking on behalf of the wrongfully convicted, the abolition of the Death Penalty and the importance of the writ of Habeas Corpus as well as his Spiritual Journey and Inner Transformation.

Along with his co-author, Ken Klonsky, Dr. Carter has written   his first book in thirty-six years, EYE OF THE HURRICANE: MY PATH FROM DARKNESS TO FREEDOM (Chicago Review Press, Lawrence Hill Division).   The book tells the story of Carter's spiritual journey during his twenty years of imprisonment and afterward, detailing the battles he has fought and continues to fight on behalf of the wrongly convicted.  The book is expected to be released on New Years Day, 2011.  THE SIXTEENTH ROUND is being reissued by the Chicago Review Press, Lawrence Hill Division in the Spring of 2011.
